Since 1978, Ken Coomes has been involved with petroleum marketing. What began as a part time service station job during high school evolved into a lifelong undertaking. After holding various support positions, he purchased an Amoco service station franchise in May of 1986. He spent the following 22 years as owner and operator of this high-volume retail outlet.
In 2009 he assumed the duties of wholesale marketing representative with a prominent CT fuel distributor; he would hold this position for the next 13 years. During this time, he had oversight over supply, logistics and sales of motor fuels to independent dealers in CT, NY, and RI. His proudest accomplishments were providing support and guidance for his dealer clients; watching them grow and prosper during his tenure.
